Our Story

Grounded and Elevated was founded in 2018 in Reno, NV in order to support and foster the sense of mindfulness and wholeness in our city. This space was birthed out of the desire to provide a safe place for people of all backgrounds to explore the gift of yoga. We long to see people find physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. We believe a committed practice can assist in all those areas. We offer a variety of approaches to achieve and maintain your optimal health. Whether you are experiencing pain or simply want to improve your physical and mental well being, Grounded and Elevated provides a safe and friendly environment to do so. We keep class sizes small in order to offer all of our practitioners the individual attention they deserve.

Grounded and Elevated

This class truly is, “the best of both worlds.” The blend of Vinyasa style flow and the slow depth of Restorative Yoga provide the perfect practice to create both strength and flexibility. The first portion of this class will move you through an elevating Vinyasa flow, combining postures that integrate breath and movement, encouraging strength and balance. The second portion of this class will work to bring down the energy, grounding the body and mind by diving into deep satisfying Restorative postures. These passive postures are held for longer amounts of time while surrendering into the breath with the intention to open the body to increased flexibility and energy flow. The perfect way to transition into your weekend.

Elevated Flow

Tuesday 5:30 PM   60 min

Thursday 5:30 PM  60 min

This particular class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced. With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.

YogaFaith Grounded and Restored

Want to bliss-out at the end of your day? Set a peaceful tone in this 60 min. Restorative session infused with the Word and prayer. This class is a great way to relax and rejuvenate the body and bring the heart, mind, and soul in alignment! Gently stretch and move in ways that encourage healing. Improve range of motion, joint mobility and reduce the effects of stress with this gentle alignment based practice. Special attention is paid to the structural nature of poses so your body can naturally realign itself in healthy patterns. Appropriate for all levels.

Mellow Flow

Monday 4:30 PM   60 min via ZOOM

Mellow Flow is a mindful 60 min. practice offering practitioners more opportunity to linger in postures and evaluate the body, it's alignment, ease of breath, or useful modifications. Not just for beginners, slow flow will provide space for deeper connection to each posture with longer holds allowing for deeper mind body connection, as well as slow twitch muscle engagement. While slow moving, be prepared for challenge and building internal heat.

New Yogi Series

Offered by request

This is a 4 week series that introduces beginners to flow yoga. It is also a fantastic refresher course for more experienced yogis. Each class builds on the previous one, allowing the foundations of flow yoga and the physical and mental benefits to unfold. All levels welcome, must be pre-registered.

Sunrise Morning Flow

Be ready to awaken your senses and begin the day with an invigorating and energizing 45 minute class. A flowing series of dynamic postures designed to physically and mentally awaken your body and mind.  This session will get you ready for whatever the day throws at you. The class will start with gentle postures and support props to warm up the body, then slowly move into an invigorating Vinyasa-style flow to energize your body and mind. All levels welcome.

YogaFaith Flow

Friday 9:00 AM   60 min

This 60 min. session will begin with a meditation exercise and lead in to a well rounded asana practice. Modifications will be offered as well as challenges suggested. The entire experience will be centered on creating a space for you to bring your mind and body to a place of connection with Jesus.
No yoga experience needed.

Sunset, Sip, & Stretch

Will be added back to schedule as needed.

Want to "wine down" at the end of your week? Set a peaceful tone for your weekend in this 45 min. restorative session. This class is a great way to relax and rejuvenate the body! Gently stretch and move in ways that encourage healing. Improve range of motion, joint mobility and reduce the effects of stress with this gentle alignment based practice. Special attention is paid to the structural nature of poses so your body can naturally realign itself in healthy patterns. Appropriate for all levels. We will end the class with a glass of wine of your choosing or a cup of hot tea. (Must be 21+ to enjoy wine)
